Maranatha Church is a body of believers with one goal… to grow closer to God. On any given Sunday, you will find people walking through the doors from different backgrounds, walks of life, and family dynamics. We are not about stuffing a religion down people’s throats, instead, we want people to understand what a relationship with Jesus Christ is all about. We know that everyone has a story and a past. The difference is that Maranatha wants to be a new part of your story and we don’t care too much about your past but want to encourage you to move forward in a brighter future as you journey with us. When you come through our doors, we hope you experience Maranatha Church, but more importantly, experience God.
About God
We believe in one God, who is the creator and sustainer of all things. God exists in three distinct persons. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that the Son, Jesus Christ, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross, rose from the dead to provide justification for every believer, ascended to the right hand of God, and will return to establish His Kingdom on earth.
About the Bible
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that men were guided by the Holy Spirit to write every word of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is the truth and is without error.
About People
We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have a relationship with him. Because we have all sinned, and sin separates us from God. Every person needs to be saved from their sin. We alone can not save ourselves.
About Salvation
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who turn to him and place their faith in knowing that the death and resurrection of Christ is the only sufficient payment for their sin.
About the Christian Life
We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and yielding daily to the Holy Spirit. Every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.
About the Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church body are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him, loving each other, and making Christ known throughout the world.
Maranatha's purpose is to help people connect with God, connect with other believers, and connect with our community.
The Vision of Maranatha is to be a biblically functional community of believers so Christ’s redemptive purposes can be accomplished in the world.
