Director Andrew Mukasa
Bishop Andrew Mukasa is the visionary behind Maranatha Soccer Team a man who saw in football not just a sport, but a powerful instrument for community transformation, youth development, and the expression of living faith.
Driven by a deep conviction that young men need more than talent to succeed in life, Bishop Mukasa founded the club in 2021 with a bold idea: build a team where character is coached as deliberately as technique. Under his leadership, Maranatha has grown from a dream into a structured, competitive, and purpose-driven football club that represents something far greater than the beautiful game.
As a bishop, his pastoral heart shapes everything about how the club is run from how players are recruited, to how conflicts are resolved, to how victories and defeats alike are processed. He leads not from the grandstand, but from within the community.
Football was never just about the goals. It was always about the people. When I founded Maranatha, I wanted to build something that would outlast any trophy — a culture, a family, a legacy of faith.
— Bishop Andrew Mukasa, Founder
