Every team has that player. The one who arrives first to training and leaves last. The one whose standards lift everyone around them. At Maranatha SC, we have been blessed with several players who fit that description — and this week, we want to shine a light on one of them.
He came to Maranatha SC two seasons ago from a local neighbourhood side. He was raw — physically gifted, technically inconsistent, tactically developing. What he had from the beginning was something you cannot coach: attitude.
In his first season, he made mistakes. Every young player does. What set him apart was how he responded. After difficult matches, he would ask the coaching staff for extra sessions. He watched footage of his own performance. He asked questions constantly and took on responsibility as a leader before he had earned the title.
This season, the improvement has been remarkable. His positioning, his communication, his ability to perform under pressure — all transformed by sheer dedication. His teammates trust him. His coaches rely on him. He is becoming exactly the player — and the man — this club believes he can be.
